We blame Adam for eating from the tree of knowledge and disobeying God, but the truth is we do the same thing he did, every day in our life. The single tree that Adam ate from in the Garden of Eden has grown and multiplied multiple times and is all over the world today. We are tempted to eat from it, and we do eat from it every day.
This tree of knowledge is everywhere around us and claims to solve all our problems without going to the Tree of Life. Today we survive by knowledge. We resolve everything by knowledge. We are dependent on knowledge for everything. When faced with a decision we heed the advice of the tree of knowledge more than the Tree of Life.
In everything our first approach is to go to the tree of knowledge and find a solution from it and only if we are unable to find a knowledge-solution we tend to go to the Tree of Life. It should be the other way round. For everything He expects us to first approach the Tree of Life and get guidance from Him and use knowledge within the context of His Wisdom. The more we live from the fruits of the tree of knowledge the more we strengthen the tree and multiply it as we eat the fruit and cast the seeds to multiply. This world survives on the fruits of the tree of knowledge.
In this world, we are called to live by seeking Wisdom from the Tree of Life. The more we live by the fruits of the Tree of Life, the more it grows and multiplies. Let us not follow what Adam did in the Garden of Eden but follow what Christ did in the Garden of Gethsemane, when He said, “Not my will by thy will be done”. By saying that; He was willing to eat from the Tree of Life and not from the tree of knowledge.

In the Garden of Eden when Adam and Eve disobeyed God by eating the fruit from the tree of knowledge, they got separated from God. Ever since there has been a veil separating God from mankind. The veil later showed up in the tabernacle of God. Man was not allowed to enter the Holy of Holies because of the veil. God was not happy with this separation and He was willing to do whatever it takes to remove the veil. When Jesus was sacrificed on the cross this veil was destroyed. Now there is no veil to stop man from entering the Holy of Holies and have fellowship with God.
Even though the veil of the Holy of Holies is removed, there still remains a veil on each one of us which keeps us from entering the Holy of Holies. We have acquired this veil from our environment and use it as a protective covering to hide behind it. We do not want to come out of this veil. But we will not be able to enter His inner sanctuary without this veil on us being pierced.
As we pursue Him to enter the Holy of Holies for a close fellowship with Him, the veil on us will be pierced and torn. The experience of our veil being torn can be painful. But it is only as painful as you are attached to it. The more you are attached to your veil and unwilling to let it go, the more painful it can be when He draws you closer to Him. But, If you willingly let it go, it does not seem painful as you begin to see Him face to face.
The veil is not a part of us, it’s an external layer over us. The real us is very different from the appearance that the veil gives us. God cannot have a relationship with our veil on. He needs to expose the veil and see us face to face to be able to develop a close relationship with us.
We have remained in our veil for a very long time and have become very comfortable in it. We do not want it to be pierced. We prefer to have a relationship with God only to the extent that our veil is not torn. We like to keep a relationship with Him at a distance. We spend our life, just going around in the outer court of the temple and never pursuing to enter into the inner sanctuary. As long as we are in the outer court, we can keep our veil intact and have a superficial relationship with God. We busy ourselves with all the activities of the outer court of the temple, but do not pursue to know Him more in the inner most sanctuary.
The moment, we express our willingness to enter into the Most Holy and see Him face to face, the Spirit of God begins to work in us to direct us into the inner core of His inner sanctuary. In this process, our veil gets pierced and torn. It can be a painful experience and even be bloody, but it is inevitable and essential to be able to fellowship with Him face to face.
The veil over your face, is your carnal part, it’s not the real you. The real you is a treasure unto Him. You are gold. The more you get closer to the fire of His glory, the more you shine and the veil over you is destroyed and you behold Him face to face, and He beholds you face to face. You enter into an intimate relationship with Him.
Holy Spirit is the one who begins this process in you and directs and guides you to the inner sanctuary, but He is able to do that only when you show willingness to go deeper into the inner sanctuary.
So, do not be satisfied with all the activities you do for God in the outer court of the temple and just know Him from a distance. He desires that you make a journey towards the inner sanctuary and be willing to have your veil pierced and torn and get into a close relationship with the Father and walk in union with Him.

In the garden of Eden, Adam and Eve had two options to live by. Living by feeding on the Tree of Life or living by feeding on the Tree of knowledge of everything (good and evil). Tree of Life represented your close relationship with God and living by that relationship. Living by every Word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Living by His Spirit which is true Life. Tree of knowledge of everything represented living by Adam’s ability to know everything and living by that knowledge. It is a never-ending pursuit of knowledge. No matter how much you know, there is still more to know and you never come to a point of knowing everything. The irony is even if you know everything there is to be known, you still do not have Life. True Life is not obtained by pursuing knowledge, but by feeding from the Tree of Life, by being in union with the Father.
Deuteronomy 8:3 says, God humbled the Israelites in the wilderness by causing them to hunger and feeding them with manna supernaturally. It says, He did that because He wanted to teach them that man does not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of God. He was teaching them that they don’t have to live just by their knowledge to survive. Surviving by toiling and knowing how things work. He was showing how they can live true life by Trusting in Him and feeding from His heavenly manna which is the Tree of Life. He was disciplining them to learn to live by feeding from the Tree of Life – the heavenly manna which is Himself.
Jesus said, I am the true manna from God which came down from heaven and gives life to the world (John 6:33,35) and whoever comes to me will never go hungry and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. (v. 35).
At the well talking to the Samaritan women Jesus talked about two sources to be fed from, He said, referring to the physical well that everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but he who drinks from the water that I give will never be thirsty again. The physical well is human toil, effort and knowledge and depending on it to survive will never quench our thirst or truly feed us. Feeding from the water that Jesus was referring to is real food and you will never thirst again.
When Jesus was tempted by Satan during His forty day fast, He refused to depend on physical bread to survive, rather He said, I choose to live by every Word that comes from the mouth of my God. Jesus chose something which Adam refused to choose. Jesus chose to live by hearing from God alone and not depend on human effort to survive. Adam chose something other than to live by being in union with God and hearing from Him. Adam chose to live by the Tree of knowledge, but Jesus chose to live by the Tree of Life.
Today in our walk with God, what are we choosing to feed from. Are we just feeding from the knowledge of how to live life and endlessly pursuing it with the hope of attaining life by knowing more? True Life is not attained by feeding on the Tree of knowledge of good and evil, it is received only by feeding from the Tree of Life; by walking in union with God. Let us pursue to walk in oneness with Him. Jesus said, “I am the Resurrection and Life” (John 11:25), apart from Him we are just a withering branch which will eventually be taken over by death, but by being in union with Him we have Life – Eternal Life.
Let us decide to stay away from the lure of feeding from the Tree of knowledge of good and evil and feed from the Tree of Life and make that our highest priority. Nothing is more important and purposeful than walking in union with God. As we feed on Him, we will live because He lives in us!

The serpent told Adam that if he rebelled against God’s will and does his own, he will be like God, but the Truth is that if you unite your will with His, you will become like Him and truly say like Jesus said, I and my Father are one.
The universe exists because He wills. Everything came into being because He willed. Nothing has its existence without His will. He created the world and every living thing in it and said, “It is good”, because everything was as He willed. Then He created man and gave him a will of his own. Every creation is aligned to His will by default, except man; he is given a free will and God expects him to voluntarily choose to yield to the will of God. With the freedom of choice man has the option to rebel against the will of God or willingly choose to unite with God’s will and experience the joy of an intimate relationship.
God is not after man’s will to unite with His so that He can control and keep him under bondage, but He wants it because that’s the only state in which man is at rest. The design of God’s world is such that everything that is aligned to His will is at rest, everything that is dis-aligned is at a state of unrest. Just like inert atoms or molecules which have already attained a stable electronic configuration are at rest but others are very reactive and restless. It’s by design and for our good. He desires that we enjoy His rest and be at peace and function with Him. This alignment of man’s will to the will of God does not happen by force, it happens by yielding to it by one’s own will. Love relationship is not forced, but happens willingly!
In the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve chose to rebel against the will of God and follow their own to explore the other option. The enemy deceived them into believing that if they follow their own will and not unite with God’s they can become like God (Genesis 3:5), they can create their own world where their will is implemented and not God’s. They got what they desired, they fell from union with God, and got dis-aligned to His will. They got into a state of unrest and turmoil, they lost their rest and peace. As they willed, they became god of the world they were going to create which was full of restlessness and fear, but what they did not realize was that by going against the will of God, they had aligned themselves to the will of Satan and enthroned him to be the god of the world that they were creating.
Seeking His will in everything in our life is a transforming process which makes us into His likeness. Jesus the second Adam, yielded His will to His Father’s in the garden of Gethsemane and submitted to the cross and was glorified (Luke 22:42). We are called to follow Christ and let His will be done in our life. As Jesus taught us to pray, “Let thy Kingdom Come, let thy will be done…” (Matthew 6:10) it should be our deepest desire to let His will be done in our life. Let Him rule and implement the rule of His Kingdom in our life. We are an extension of Him and let Him flow freely through us and influence this world by His nature. His will and His Kingdom should prevail in our life and the world around us.
So, let us yield our will to His and say, “Not my will, but Yours be done” and be transformed into the likeness of His Son and to which the Father will say, “This is my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased”.

Yes, God raised Jesus to life! And since God’s Spirit of Resurrection lives in you, he will also raise your dying body to life by the same Spirit that breathes life into you! – Romans 8:11 (TPT)
God lost His son Adam to death in the Garden of Eden. The day when Adam and Eve chose to part away from God by choosing death over Life, death entered and God saw His children slowly losing to death. God lost his family. He lost His children to death. God could not bear this loss, He was too deeply connected with them, because they came out of Him, they were His offspring. He gave them Life, but they were being taken over by death. It’s the same feeling one has when you lose a dear one to death. God felt the loss, but He was determined to do something about it. He was resolute to gain back His children. He wanted Adam and the whole of humanity back.
Even though He is the Lord Almighty, the creator of the vast universe, He cannot just magically regain His family back by His might. It was a matter of the heart and will; Adam and Eve had chosen willingly to go their own way. So to win their heart back, He had to take a different path. God had to enter the realm of death and destroy it. He willingly did that in Christ. He endured death and destroyed it utterly. He not only destroyed death, but He resurrected to Life. He made Eternal Life accessible to His children who were until then under the grip of death. Now God regains His children back to Life from death, through the resurrection of Jesus. The resurrected Spirit of Christ which dwells in His children who put their trust in Him, resurrects them back to Life.
His son Adam whom He lost to death in the Garden of Eden, He received Him back to life in Jesus and also multitudes more with Him. God resurrects His children back to life by His Spirit which dwells in them. Romans 8:11 says, Just like God raised Jesus to life, the Spirit of resurrection dwells in us and He will raise us to Life.
This resurrection that God is accomplishing in us through His Spirit is a process and depends on how we yield to it, the more we yield the faster it is. It’s a transforming process, which makes us lose our old carnal identity and put on the armor of Light (Romans 13:12) It’s a process to give us eternal Life and make us able to live in His realm of Life. With our carnal self, we can only survive in this realm of death, we cannot in His realm of Life. So to enable us to live in His realm of Life, He transforms us and resurrects us to His Life through the Spirit of His Resurrection.
By yielding to this process of Resurrection in Christ of transforming us into His image (2 Corinthians 3:18), we gain Eternal Life which we lost in the Garden of Eden and God gains back His son Adam (and us) whom He lost in the same Garden and is delighted just like the Father of the prodigal son who said, “My son was dead, and is alive again”.

See how glorious a love the Father has given us, that we should be called God’s children—and so we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know Him. 2 Loved ones, now we are God’s children; and it has not yet been revealed what we will be. But we do know that when it’s revealed, we shall be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is. 3 Everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure. –(1 John 3:1-3)
It’s a privilege bestowed on us by the Father who loves us so much to be called His children. The Father Himself loves us so much that He was willing to go through anything to restore us to that position of being His children. The depth of His love can be seen first when He gave us life and created us in His image to be His son or daughter. Second when we rebelled against Him, He did not give up on us to let us perish, but He was willing to come down to flesh and curse and subject himself to sin and death. He experienced death in the flesh to redeem us and restore us back to the position of being His children. He did not just restore us to be His children, but He has glorified us to an exalted position of Jesus Himself. We are raised to the position of His Beloved Son Jesus. In Him, we are righteous, blameless, full of Peace, Joy and Faith and in complete union with the Father, having full access to the Inheritance in Christ. Everything that Christ has access to as a Son, we have too, because we are hidden in Him, raised to His position by the Father’s Grace. Jesus accomplished everything for us, so that we can experience the benefit of it, of being called the children of God.
As children of God we are a unique breed of people. Though we live in the physical body, we have our existence beyond the physical. We exist in the Eternal realm, seated with Christ Jesus. We are empowered with the Eternal Life of the Father Himself. The Holy Spirit dwells within us and guides us according to His plan. We have access to the Wisdom of God through the Holy Spirit. We are unique beings in Christ existing in two realms at the same time, one physical and another eternal. The world has no clue of this access we have to the eternal realm in Christ through the Holy Spirit, so it can never understand us in full, just like it cannot understand the Father. When Christ appears, we will be in our real form, just like Him, filled with His Glory as children of light, eternal as He is.
This future Hope and the present-day awareness of who we are in Christ enables us to refrain from the defilement of the passing world. The world is temporal and passing away in time, but we are eternal beings. We are here to stay with Christ, the world is not. As we hold on to who we are in Christ and to the Hope of what we will be when He appears, we will be able to easily shake off anything of this temporal world that tries to attach itself to us. Anything of the flesh and the earth is nothing compared to the Life we have in Christ. The glorious eternal future we have in Christ.
Just like Gold after going through fire it emerges out stronger and purer, getting rid of all impurities clinging on to it; we will emerge out as children of God, more valuable than gold, free from the impurities of the passing world as we hold on to Christ and the Hope we have in Him – as the children of God.

Revolution – is turning around a central point of axis. It is a pattern seen everywhere in the creation of God. Planets revolve around the Sun. Electrons revolves around the nucleus. We are all attached to something and we go in circles around them. We revolve around anything that we consider important.
Problems in life seek to become the center of our focus, and keep us entangled in worry and fear to make us revolve around them. We as humans have the tendency to revolve around anything other than God. We gravitate towards revolving around fear and worry. We easily tend to attach our self to any situation in life which threatens us and keep revolving around it in worry and fear. When we revolve around our problems, we will get disoriented and lose our focus and direction. The more we think on them and meditate on our fear, the more we get stuck in its orbit. The longer we remain in its orbit, stronger the problem gets and more difficult it is for us to get out of it. What you revolve around gains control over you, when you revolve around your problems, it has a control over you.
God desires that we revolve around Him and let Him be the center of our life. When you revolve around God by spending time in the throne room of grace and in the Holy of Holies, your life is ruled from the throne of God. His Kingdom dominates your life. When He rules, you will see His Life manifested in your life. But if you allow fear to rule, you will see the results of fear manifested in your life. Walk with Him and let His rule increase in your life. He is the King and let His Kingdom come in our life.
The Israelites could not possess the Promised Land because instead of revolving around God in Faith, they revolved around the mountain of fear and unbelief for forty years and perished in the desert (Hebrews 3:19). What you anchor yourself to and revolve around is what you worship. Our mountain of fear and unbelief does not deserve our worship, only the King does. Be anchored in Him and revolve around Him, let His Spirit guide you.
Stop thinking and worrying about situations and things happening in your life. In everything fix your mind and heart on the Lord and meditate on what He is telling you. Revolve around God. Meditate on what He has been revealing to you. Even when you are in the midst of a storm, when the temptation is strong to fear the storm and keep revolving around it, make sure to focus on the Lord and His promises and be anchored in Him and you will not be disoriented by the storm but will head in the right direction. The moment you realize that you are revolving around something other than the Spirit of God which is Joy, Peace, Hope, Faith, Love; immediately switch over and make Him the center of your revolution and abide in Him and let the orbit of your circle around Him get stronger.
Above everything it is so amazing how the Bible reveals Him as a Father who will do anything to redeem His children even to the extent of dying for them. He is our Abba Father who Himself revolves around us, His children, so let’s have our life centered on Him and Him alone.

And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. – (Acts 2:3 ESV)
The Spirit of God which was hovering over the waters before the creation of the world (Genesis 1:2) found rest on the seventh day when the creation was complete and Adam and Eve were created and were in complete fellowship with God (Genesis 2:2). This rest of the Spirit of God did not last long. Soon Adam rebelled and went his own way. The relationship was broken. Ever since the Spirit of God has been striving with men (Genesis 6:3) to restore them back to Himself so that they can be at complete rest in fellowship.
God has been restlessly striving to be in fellowship with man. Without Faith there is no relationship, God was looking for a relationship which centered around Faith and Trust in Him. He found that relationship and rest in Noah. He made a covenant with Noah and brought forth a generation out of him. Not surprising that the name Noah means Rest. God finds a restful relationship in Noah. The generation that follows, again rebel against God and choose their own way, unlike Noah who chose Faith in God.
God is again restless and striving to find a man who will relate with Him in Faith. He finds Abraham and makes a covenant with Him. He makes a covenant to birth a nation out of Him. Even though Abraham rested in his relationship with God and also God rested in His relationship with Abraham, the generation which came forth out of Abraham did not. They again rebelled against God and went into slavery. God’s Spirit finds Moses and Joshua to deliver the people and take them to His rest. More than the physical Canaan land of rest, God was wanting to develop a relationship with them in which they will Trust and depend on Him completely and rest in that relationship, but they did not and God was still restless and striving with mankind.
He introduced the blood sacrifice and the law to be able to be with them and dwell in their midst. Though His real rest was to dwell in them; He could not dwell in them because they had nothing of the nature of God in them, getting closer to them will only consume them, like Fire will consume the chaff (Exodus 33:20). So instead of dwelling in them, He dwelt among them in the tabernacle (Exodus 25:8) and in the pillar of fire (Exodus 13:21).
Then the Spirit of God finds Jesus, His own Son who agrees to resolve this struggle by becoming a blood sacrifice Himself and dies on the cross declaring, “It is finished” (John 19:30). The relationship between the Son and the Father is one of complete oneness. The Father completely rests in His relationship with Jesus and so does Jesus rests in His Father (John 10:30). In Jesus the Spirit of God finds Rest. Because of what Jesus has accomplished, the Spirit of God was able on the day of Pentecost to come and rest on His disciples (Acts 2:3). Finally, The Spirit Rested. He is able to rest and dwell in us, not just among us; because of Jesus who submitted to His will even unto death.
The Spirit rests when we allow His Son to shine forth His image in us. As we yield to the mind and the nature of Christ and are transformed into His glory, we resemble Him and the Spirit of God rests in Christ who is in us. The more we yield to Him we find our rest in Him and more we take on His righteousness the more we allow the Spirit of God to rest in us. Because of His righteousness the Spirit of God when it comes to dwell and rest in us, it does not consume and destroy us, because fire does not destroy fire. We have the nature of His Son in us, and we are no longer consumed by Him, we rest in Him just as much as the Spirit of God rests in us.

Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. – (John 17:3)
God has always wanted a relationship with His children. Since the day He created Adam and Eve He desired that they know Him and grow in their relationship with Him. God came down to the Garden every day to have fellowship with Adam and Eve. God knew Adam, but He also desired Adam to know Him as a good Father. Knowing is a union. The more you know the person and yield, the more you unite with that person. The Bible calls the union of Adam and Eve as Adam knew Eve.
God is Life and He is Eternal. He is Love and when you know Him as Abba Father, you unite with Him and acquire His nature and Life and you become Eternal with Him. That is His desire.
God wanted Adam and Eve to know Him and grow, but they preferred to know the “knowledge of good and evil”. They chose to unite with the knowledge to live their life rather than Life Himself. That choice defined their reality and they were cast out from the realm of God to a self-sustained reality of life in which we still struggle to survive.
What you seek to know and unite with; becomes your reality. If you seek to know Him as a good Father, His nature and His Kingdom becomes your reality. His will and rulership in your life becomes more real and it defines and dominates your physical reality. On the contrary, if you seek to know and unite with the knowledge of the world on how to live life, that becomes your reality.
Knowing God is union with Him and it takes us into the reality of Zion. When we prefer to know the world and how it functions rather than to know Him and how He functions; we get united with the world and get stuck in its reality. He wants us to unwind from the reality of the world and seek to know Him and function in the reality of the Kingdom of God.
Jesus said I know my Father and He knows me (John 10:15). He said to Pharisees, “You don’t know the Father”, (John 8:19). They just knew the knowledge of the Law. Paul says grow in your knowledge of Christ and know Him better. (Ephesians 1:17)
You cannot know Him just by studying about Him or doing all religious deeds. You know Him only when He reveals Himself by His Spirit of Wisdom and revelation (Ephesians 1:17). Unless He opens up, you cannot know Him, no matter how hard you use your brain to study Him. But the good news is, He reveals to everyone who walks with Him.
Seek to know Him, not the knowledge about Him. He reveals Himself to one who seeks Him instead of about Him. Relationship with Him is the key to know Him.
