God Needs Your Will

Robert Rajamani

“Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.” — Luke 22:42

God created man in His own image, He gave him a will to choose freely. Just like God, man now has the option to go and create his own world, fulfill his own desires and visions and build his own kingdom. Man has the option to go independent of God and follow his own will and make his own decisions or if he chooses; he can unite his will with the will of God and function in union with God.

God desires that man will willingly choose to submit his will to God’s and work in union with Him. Just like in any love relationship it will not work if two wills do not merge willingly; Love cannot be forced. God desires that man will willingly submit to His will, just like a son submits to His Father in trust. Just like Jesus said, “Not My Will But Thine Be Done”. (Luke 22:42)

God expected this from Adam and Eve, but they chose to not yield to the will of God and do their own will. Devil was just the means by which they were introduced to another option of being able to go independent of God and establish their own world and be their own God. They chose to deviate from the will of God and follow their own will. When your will is not in union with the will of God, there is no Life, because He is the source of Life. Without God as your source, all you have is your ability to understand good and evil and live based on your carnal understanding, you are disconnected from divine wisdom, you are at the mercy of your own ability to solve your problems. With no source of Life, you eventually wither and die. That’s the state of man today.

But God never gives up on Man. He is always looking for a human who will unite his will with God’s willingly, and in that union God’s plans will be birthed. He finds that man in Noah, who unites his own will with God’s and births a new plan for the earth and whole humanity. He finds Abraham who submits his will to the will of God to the point of giving up his beloved son. In that union of Abraham’s will with God’s, He births the eternal plan of His Kingdom in which, nations will be Blessed and Abraham becomes the Father of our Faith.

Later, He finds David, who submits his will to God’s and He declares him as a ‘Man after His own Heart’ (Acts 13:22) and He births the plan to establish the throne of David eternally in Christ. Then, He finds a woman named Mary, who willingly united her will to His and said, “Be it to me according to your word” and birthed the Messiah in flesh (Luke 1:38). Finally, Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane lamented, but said, “Not My Will But Thine Be Done” (Luke 22:42) and out of that submission of His own will to His Father’s is birthed the new Eternal Kingdom of God, and we the fallen sons and daughters of Adam, have been declared righteous and made worthy of His Eternal Kingdom (2 Corinthians 5:21) and Death is forever destroyed. (1 Corinthians 15:54)

Today, He is after our will. He desires that we choose His will over ours. He longs that we unite our will with His and be one with Him, just as Jesus said, I and my Father are one (John 10:30). Just like there is explosive power when two hearts willingly merge, fall in love and become one; there is power to give birth to His plan and dream when we submit our will to His and become one with Him.

When we understand the truth that we are the center of His world, His heart revolves around us and gravitates towards us, that He does everything good for His children and His will is always seeking our good, then it is easy to submit to His will and walk with Him and say “Thy will Be Done Not Mine”.

God’s Eternal Purpose

Robert Rajamani

…according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord,

God’s perspective is from eternity. He has eternal purposes and plans. Whatever He does in our life and in this physical realm has eternal implications. He created Adam and Eve with an eternal plan to expand His Kingdom into the physical realm. He wanted to rule and have dominion through his children. He wanted Adam and Eve to rule as King and Queen. He is the King of Kings. His children are the Kings. He wanted to have His will done among His people so that they experience His Blessing. His will is a Kingdom of His Righteousness and Peace (Romans 14:17). Even though Adam missed the purpose of God, God did not fail. He accomplished something better in Jesus. Today we have a better position in Christ than we would have had in Adam.

God had an eternal purpose when He made a covenant with Abraham. He had a future Kingdom coming out of the seed of Abraham, not just the physical seed through Isaac, but his spiritual seed Jesus. (Galatians 3:16). Everything that Abraham went through in his life had eternal consequences. The period of testing he endured for his faith had an eternal purpose. Today and forever Abraham is the Father of our Faith.

God had an eternal purpose when He chose David and established his throne. God declared that the throne of David will remain forever (2 Samuel 7:16). His son, Jesus is seated on the throne of David and will rule forever. The phase in his life, when he endured trials before being seated on the throne, had an eternal purpose.

God had an eternal purpose when He allowed His own beloved Son to be sacrificed on the cross. He was establishing His Kingdom on the death of His Son. The event of crucifixion and resurrection brought eternal victory. God as a Father desired to include us in His Kingdom. He wanted to have a family which included us.

Today, when we go through situations in life, which looks contradictory to what we desire; situations which does not make sense; be assured that He has an eternal purpose behind it. Today, when we face trials and our faith is being tested; be assured that what we endure today for our Faith is not a small thing. It has its implications in eternity. Everything that we go through in our walk with Him is very precious to Him and it has eternal consequences. He is a potter with an eternal perspective, let us yield to Him to create as He desires. Let His will be done in our life.

Above everything, He is a Father at heart, everything He does come out of that Father-Heart, so we can be assured that He will allow only good things in our life, even if it looks bad. He is a master at making apparent bad things better than the good. In His heart, He has an eternal purpose for us. Let His will be done and have an eternal impact! (Luke 22:42)

God Wants to Dwell Among Us

Robert Rajamani

I will make My dwelling among you, and My soul will not reject nor separate itself from you. I will walk among you and be your God, and you shall be My people – Leviticus 26:11-12

God has always wanted to dwell with His children. He longs to be with His own. Even though man rejected Him in the garden of Eden and went his own way of independence from God. God always pursued man and wanted to be with him.

God wanted to be with the Israelites. He wanted to dwell in their midst. He instructed them to have a tabernacle made where His Presence can dwell in their midst (Exodus 25:8). God did not want to dwell among them so that He can rule and control the Israelites. The reason He wanted to be with His people was because He knew that His people needed Him, even though they did not realize that. He knew His presence is what will give them victory and protection from the enemies they are going to face. He wanted to be with them to help them and show them the way. He cared for them.

The Israelites built the tabernacle, in which was the Most Holy Place. In the Holy of Holies the Presence of God dwelled.  For a Holy God do be able to dwell with His sinful people there had to be an animal sacrifice which covered their sin and the glory of God could remain among them. God made a way where there was no way. He made the way of animal sacrifice, so that He can dwell among His children.

God was not satisfied just by the tabernacle and the Holy of Holies of the tabernacle where God came and dwelled among His children, He wanted more. He wanted to be more intimate with His children and dwell in them instead of among them.  He wanted to come and dwell in the heart and spirit of His children. Man is the tabernacle and the spirit of man is the Holy of Holies and God wanted to dwell in the spirit of man and lead and guide Him (1 Corinthians 3:16). For this to happen, God had to pay the price of becoming a sacrifice Himself and allow Jesus to die on the cross just like the animal sacrifice in the old covenant with the Israelites. He willingly paid the price and became the sacrifice and experienced death for the joy of being able to dwell in the Holy of Holies, in the spirit of His children.

Because of what Jesus did on the cross now God can come and dwell in our spirit. We can enter into the Holy of Holies and spend time with the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit when we pray in the Spirit and are led by the Spirit. We can enter into this Holy of Holies any time we want unlike in the old covenant where the High Priest could enter only once a year (Hebrews 9:7). The veil is torn and we have free access to this throne room of God the Most Holy Place and spend time with Him whenever we want (Hebrews 10:19-20). It is His Joy and Pleasure to spend time with His kids. After all, it is He who willingly paid the heavy price to make this possible for us to be able to freely enter His Most Holy Presence and have intimate conversation with Him.

Now God dwells among us and in us. We are His tabernacle. He loves to be with His children.

His Righteousness Not Mine

Robert Rajamani

Since they did not know the righteousness of God and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to God’s righteousness – Romans 10:3

For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God — 2 Corinthians 5:21

Gold is not made. It is created. Nothing can replace it. It just exists, you take it and use it. Human efforts cannot make gold. Iron or any other element cannot be transformed to gold.

Righteousness of God is the standard of the realm of God. It is the essence and nature of His Kingdom. It is the law by which His Kingdom operates. Anything unrighteous cannot enter the realm of God, just like darkness cannot enter light.
His Righteousness cannot be attained by human efforts. Man is aware of his state and strives to attain it by his efforts, to get right with God. He tries religion, good deeds etc. Righteousness is not a product of human efforts. Like gold it has to be just received, it cannot be made. Just receive and wear it like a robe. Bible calls it the Robe of Righteousness. (Isaiah 61:10 )

All human attempts to come up to this Righteous Standard of God are vain attempts. It’s like Adam and Even attempting to cover their sin with leaves (Genesis 3:7 ). God had to intervene and clothe them with the skin of a sacrificed lamb (Genesis 3:21 ), which represents His way of making things right. Our human efforts to attain this Righteousness does not just show our ignorance but also our arrogance, and God calls it filthy rags. (Isaiah 64:6 ). Our self-righteous garment is like the man who was invited to the wedding banquet but did not have the wedding garment and was thrown out by the king. (Matthew 22:11)

Jesus, is the price God paid to make this kind of Righteousness available to sinful men. He is the sacrificed lamb who was stripped off of His Righteousness on the Cross when He was de-robed and hung naked and became sin (John 19:23 ). The Righteousness stripped off of Him is the same Righteousness we receive when we put our trust in Him. There was no other way for this Righteousness of God to be made available to man, other than by the sacrifice of Jesus – the Lamb.

Because of what Jesus has done, now we have His Righteousness as a free gift. We just receive it and put on as a Robe and not rely on our self-effort. Now we are eligible to enter into the realm of God, to be called His children. We are citizens of His Kingdom with right standing with God. We are the children of light and there is no darkness in us. We have full access to Him. All because of Him who loved us so much to find a way to make us worthy to be called His children, even though it cost Him Jesus, His Son.

You cannot make gold, you just take and wear it. You cannot attain His Righteousness by self-effort. You just receive it and put it on and live as a child of God boldly.

Jesus the Author and Finisher of our Faith

by Robert Rajamani

…fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, — Hebrews 12:2

Faith pleases God (Hebrews 11:6). You cannot receive anything from the Kingdom of God without Faith. Faith is the key that unlocks the doors of the Kingdom in the spiritual realm and manifest it in the physical realm in your life.

If faith is so important what would you do when you feel that you lack Faith to receive from God and manifest in your life. Feeding on the Word of God produces Faith, listening to the voice of the Spirit produces faith. Still if you feel that your faith is not sufficient to handle the situation you are in, don’t worry, you can rely on the Faith of Jesus to complete your faith.

Once when Jesus was with His disciples in the boat out in the sea, a severe windstorm arose which appeared life-threatening, when the disciples woke Him up in panic, He asked them “why are you so fearful, How is it that you have no Faith?” Jesus expected them to be not afraid when a life-threatening storm came against them. But when He saw that they did not have that Faith, He used His Faith to calm the storm. (Mark 4:35-41)

Jesus will never leave you helpless in your situation just because of your lack of Faith. He is with you in your situation, it might be a life-threatening sickness, or something else, do not fear, just rely on Him and depend on His Faith to work for you. When you lack Faith He is with you to use His Faith and rescue you from the storm, He is your good Father. He will get you out of the situation in victory. He is in charge. Just Trust Him. He will do it.

In another instance, when the father of the boy who had epileptic came to Jesus’s disciples for healing but they could not heal because of their unbelief. When the disciples lacked faith, Jesus used His Faith and rebuked the demon and healed the child. (Matthew 17: 14-21)

When Peter wanted to walk on the water and he did walk for a while, but then as he was going under because of doubt and fear, Jesus stretched out His hand and helped Him. (Matthew 14:29-33) He is always with you to complete and perfect your Faith. He will give you victory over the situation, He is the perfecter of our Faith. Rely on Him.

So live life with the confidence that no matter what situation you face, you are always an overcomer. Your Faith in Him perfected by His Faith will always lead you in triumph. (2 Corinthians 2:14)

Mind Governed by the Spirit of God

By Robert Rajamani

The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. (Romans 8:6)

One’s life is controlled by their mind. As goes the mind so goes the man. Mind is just a tool to control and direct your life. If you find a way to control this mind in the right way, your life can go in the right direction.

Paul talks about two things that can govern our mind and based on what is governing it, the outcome can be completely different. One, our mind can be controlled by our flesh i.e. the carnal nature and it will lead to death both spiritual and physical, or our mind can be governed by the Spirit of God which will lead to Life and Peace. (Romans 8:6)

The Spirit of God will never dominate or control your mind against your will, you need to allow Him to govern it and be led by Him. If you are led by the Spirit of God you are a son of God, (Romans 8:14) you have access to the son ship position of Christ. You are no longer in bondage to the spirit of fear and death. You are adopted into the family of God, He becomes your Father and because of Christ you are Righteous and the Father finds no fault in you. You become a joint heir with Christ and share in the Inheritance of Christ. (Romans 8:17)

There is nothing more exciting in life than to be led by His Spirit and have access to the Inheritance of Christ. That Inheritance includes His Wisdom, His Blessing both Spiritual and Physical. When you are governed and led by the Spirit of God, you are functioning on a different law – The Law of the Spirit of Life (Romans 8:2). The law of sin and death in which the devil and his kingdom operates has no access to you.

A mind led by the Spirit of God will have Kingdom thoughts, will understand the Wisdom of God, will have the concepts of the Kingdom, and will operate on a different realm of reality. Will be able to heal the sick, walk on water, feed the multitude with few bread and fishes, speak to the dead and bring back to life. Life will be exciting for sure. This is normal life in the Spirit as it was intended by Jesus.

Yield to the Holy Spirit today and live a Supernatural Life. Nothing else in this life is more exciting!

Holy Spirit – Your Reliable Teacher

by Robert Rajamani

But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. – John 14:26

The Bible is a living book. The Word of God is living, active and powerful. It has to be the foundation for our life. This whole universe is sustained by the Word of God. The world was created by it.

There are basically two ways by which you can understand the Word of God. One is by relying on your human understanding and the other is by relying on the Author Himself—The Holy Spirit.

By default you tend to interpret the Word of God just using your mind, your understanding and your background. Understanding it just by your intellectual ability can be misleading. You cannot limit the unlimited wisdom in the Word to your own understanding.

If you try to understand the Truths in the Word just on the basis of your human mind, there will be times when what you see in the Word does not make logical sense. To your brain any truth it is exposed to, seems logical only if it can find something to rely and leverage on. If it does not find any corresponding truth to leverage on it will reject it as illogical or irrational or impossible.

But if you try to understand the Word of God in your spirit with the help of the Holy Spirit, you have access to another dimension. So when a truth revealed in the Word does not find anything to leverage on in the natural mind, it will find a leverage in the spirit and it will make logical and rational sense.

There is a lot in the Word of God than what our human brain can comprehend. It is filled with mystery, wisdom, world changing truths, solutions to our problems which cannot be grasped by human logic and understanding. When you allow the Holy Spirit to reveal it to your spirit it becomes comprehensible. It’s the Spirit of God which inspired the prophets to reveal and write the Word of God. He is the one who knows the whole truth. Let Him interpret the Word for you and He will reveal the multi-dimensional truth in it.

Fellowship with the Spirit of God, get intimate with Him, let Him guide you in the Word. Don’t read the Word just by your human brain power, which will only make you academically strong. He wants to reveal His fullness to you, because it’s the Word of God which creates Faith in our heart and changes our life.

Be led by His Spirit and let Him interpret the Word of God for you.
Learn from Him and you will never go wrong.

Overcome By The Word of God

by Robert Rajamani

I have written to you, young men, Because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, And you have overcome the wicked one. – 1 John 2:14

The Word of God is the creative force which created this world and everything in it. It is the rock solid foundation on which we need to build our life. As Jesus said, he who listens to my Word and obeys it is like a man who built his house on the rock, the storms will come and waters will rise, but the house will not be shaken (Matthew 7:24).

The Word of God has the presence of God, when it comes and abides in your heart it changes everything in your life. The Word abiding in our heart creates God kind of Faith and there is nothing in this physical realm which can prevail over this kind of Faith. This Faith overcomes everything in the world.

The devil will do everything to keep us down, he can throw sickness, poverty and every other form of oppression against us, but we will not be moved because we are founded on the Word of God. According to the above verse, we have already overcome the wicked on. The Word of Christ dwells in us and we are strong and have overcome the evil one.

Jesus said, “If you abide in me and my words abide in you, you will ask what you desire and it shall be done for you.” (John 15:7) We abide in His Word by grabbing hold of His promises in our heart and trust in Him. As you Trust in Him, it forms a wall of protection around you and the devil cannot touch you. As you grow in your Trust in Him by letting His Word abide in you and meditating on it, the wall of protection gets bigger and stronger and the weapons of the enemy cannot penetrate that wall.

King Solomon said, “Keep His Word in the midst of your heart for they are life to those who find them and health to all their flesh. (Proverbs 4:21,22). Meditating on Scriptures about healing and that Jesus bore our sickness on His body and by His stripes we are healed will manifest healing in your physical bodies.

Make the Word of God your high priority. Nothing is more important in life than to know Him and His purpose for your life through His Word. Spend time in His Word every day, do not ignore it. Meditate on the Word throughout the day, let the Spirit of God reveal the wisdom in the Word for your specific situation. He wants you to be successful and overcome every giant in your life. You do that by abiding in His Word.

Build your life on the Word of God and prevail over the devil.

Become One with the Word of God and Speak

by Robert Rajamani

If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you – John 15:7

The Word of God has Spirit and Life. The Word of God is living and active and full of power (Hebrews 4:12). Any situation you face in life, no matter how impossible it might appear, it can be changed and overcome by the Word of God.

The way God operates in this earth among humans is through His Word. He speaks His Word and if any person agrees to that Word and receives it, He then makes that Word to manifest in his life.

He spoke to Abraham and gave him a promise and Abraham received that Word in Faith and the promise manifested in His life. He spoke the Word to Mary, she received it in Faith and it manifested in flesh.

When God gives you a promise concerning your situation, do not position yourself in a neutral place where you stand between the promised Word of God and your situation and wonder why the situation is not changing according to what God has promised. Instead, you need to become one with the promised Word of God. You need to let that Word abide in you and you abide in it. Meditate on it and become one with it and speak that Word out of your mouth. Use that Word as a sword to attack your situation and change it. The Word of God abiding in you and coming out of your mouth is a powerful sword which can change any circumstance.

Speaking out the Word of God with your mouth is as important as letting that Word become one with you, for you to see it manifest in your life. God created this world by speaking His Word. We as His children have creative force in our tongue. Letting the Word unite with your spirit and speaking it out of your mouth has creative power. It’s not your power, but it’s the power of His Word.

Keep confessing the Word of God and the promises that He has given you for any situation you are facing. Let that Word abide in your heart and you abide in it in Faith and let it grow and manifest in the physical realm. As James says, the Word of God which is implanted and rooted in our heart is able to save our souls (James 1:21). Once the Word has become one with you and you abide in the Word, you need to speak that Word out with your mouth and it will manifest in your life.

Receive the Word, Unite with it, Speak it out with your mouth and Create your future.

Jesus – Our High Priest

by Robert Rajamani

Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, …Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. – (Hebrews 4:14,16)

We can come into the presence of God our Father with all boldness and full of Grace. We can do so because God Himself has made a way for us, who were sinners, to come to His presence without any condemnation, guilt and fear of punishment. It was in the heart of the Father to make a way for us to come back to Him. We had disconnected from Him because of the disobedience of one man Adam, but it pleased God to make a way for us to give full access to His heart through Jesus Christ.

Jesus is not only the lamb which was sacrificed for our sins, but He is also the High Priest who took the blood of the lamb, his own blood and has entered the most Holy place of the heavenly tabernacle and offered it to God on behalf of us. Because of this High Priest we have in Christ, we are righteous. We have complete right standing with God, no one can condemn us. Now we can come boldly into the throne room of God. We can talk to Him as a son or daughter talks to the Father.

Anything that we lack is made complete in Christ. If we lack Faith, the Faith of Christ completes it for us (Hebrews 12:2). If we have sin, the High Priest has offered an eternal sacrifice for all our sins and it’s taken care of (Hebrews 9:14). Christ who has entered the heavens and finished the sacrifice of atonement for us and is seated on the right hand of God intercedes for us even now (Hebrews 7:25). If you need anything, just bring the request to the throne room of Grace and Jesus our High Priest will get it from the Father. (Hebrews 4:16)

We are covered from all sides. We lack nothing. So be bold in the assurance that God loves you and done everything to take care of the sin problem. Just know who you are in Christ. You are the son of God. You bear His image and nature. You are the righteousness of God and He will make your righteousness shine forth as light (Psalm 37:6). You can live life in victory. Dispel everything that stands against you.

Be bold in the Righteousness of Christ and live in Victory. He is your High Priest!
